Position Description:

CGI Federal is seeking an experienced Project Lead to join a growing and dynamic program to provide consulting support and expertise as part of a client’s back office modernization effort. You will be interacting with a dynamic team of people with opportunities to learn and grow as you help deliver the overall solution to our client. You will manage a cross-functional team of analysts & developers to complete all phases of the project lifecycle leveraging Agile methodologies. You will collaborate with other project teams of similar members and expertise, build strong relationships with external stakeholders to coordinate and manage expectations, and overall be responsible for managing deliverables for all tasks making sure they are high quality and satisfy the client’s needs.

This position is located in our USA VA Fairfax -- USAVAFAI01 office with work performed at client site in Arlington, VA; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Lead the cross-functional team to drive a successful implementation, including managing the schedule and meeting delivery dates.

• Interact with the government client as the main point of contact for tasks, issues, and escalation.

• Plan, organize and assign the work required to deliver the solution.

• Producing high quality deliverables.

• Advise on lessons learned and best practices to support their initiatives.

• Document processes, requirements, user stories that allow the team to create the best possible solution for our client.

• Identify and communicate areas of improvement, business processes findings, potential business opportunities, risks and issues to CGI management.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher is preferred, but will consider additional experience in lieu of education

• 3+ years of project lead experience related to business process modernization, re-engineering, or other relevant technology and federal back office operations

• Strong communication skills and comfortable interfacing with customers, stakeholders, and internal teams

• Analytical mindset and high attention to detail

• Experience with using agile methodologies to deliver solutions

Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required:

  • Deep understanding of federal back-office functions, organizations, and motivations

  • Project Management and Lean Six Sigma certifications

  • Demonstrated success managing small teams to deliver technology and business value to customers

CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and license and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $67,800.00 - $165,200.00.
