ABOUT OUR EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT

  • We are a 22-bed Level IV Trauma Center

  • We consistently hold 1:4 nurse to patient ratios

  • We provide specialized treatment for cardiac, trauma, and stroke patients

  • We have been recognized for providing one of the fastest times to treatment for cardiac patients in the Seattle region

  • Many of our RNs are Daisy Award WinnersOur RNs work in close partnership with physicians, phlebotomists, and medical assistants. Our Emergency Department is fast-paced and a great match for RNs interested in supporting a diverse population from our local and regional communities. We pride ourselves on fostering a supportive, collaborate environment where everyone’s contributions are recognized. Priority for interviews will be given to experienced Emergency Department RNs. However, we will also consider experienced medical-surgical hospital RNs who are transitioning into emergency department nursing care for the first time. WORK SCHEDULE

  • 90% FTE / 36 hours per week

  • 3x12 shift schedule

  • Night shift only (7:00pm - 7:30am) PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assesses and triages patients upon arrival

  • Administers medications and fluids

  • Monitors heart rate, blood pressure, and other vital signs

  • Stabilizes patients with life-threatening injuries and illnesses

  • Responds quickly when emergent issues arise

  • Works alongside emergency department physicians, cardiac care professionals, social workers, and paramedics

  • Provides personalized patient care with compassion, dignity, and respect REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1 year of recent RN work experience in an Emergency Department or 2 years of recent medical-surgical RN work experience and demonstrated clinical aptitude to successfully complete a new-to-specialty Emergency Department training program

  • Active ACLS

  • Active BLS
